The most important designed software that runs on a computer is operating system and is mainly responsible for the communication between the computer and user, or it is an interface between computer hardware and users.
Over years and years, the most integral acknowledged component of every computer system in the world is its operating system. A computer is inoperable without the above mentioned system. With OS you need not require any complicated commands, settings or codes to operate your computer, it simply ensures smooth operation.

1. Multi-user:- It allows more than one user to run the programs simultaneously basis.
2. Multiprocessing: – It allows running a program on the more than one CPU simultaneously.
3. Multitasking: – It allows executing more than one task at the same time.
4. Multithreading: – It allows different parts of a single program to run concurrently.
5. Real Time: – It has to finish the task within the deadline and responds to input instantly.
Microsoft Windows is one of the world’s most famous OS today.
A line of OS produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, notebook computers, and media centers is Windows XP having universal hardware support and better graphics which makes it a better OS. Windows XP is enhanced by its important features as security and wireless support.
